Mobility Applications for Industry
SATEC has participated in projects that require expertise in the technologies that make it possible to develop mobile applications. Not only has SATEC succesfully developed these applications but it has also handled their integration and subsequent maintenance.
On-line Surveys:
SATEC has developed a survey-taking application that can help our client's marketing departments to evaluate or make decisions on new product launches or the behaviour of end clients.
In this case, our client uses PDA type devices containing the surveys which, once completed, are sent to a central server for subsequent analysis by the people responsible for the campaigns. A set of reports was also designed and developed based on the needs expressed by the client. The reports were accessible, via a web interface, based on different user profiles.
Maintenance Equipment Management:
Management of the technical assistance interventions is an application that helps to reduce costs and improves the efficiency of the services offered by a company to its clients.
The field staff is equiped with a PDA with GPRS, therefore from a Control Center will be asigned and queued according to priority level interventions to be made during the day. The technicians can check on their PDA all the relevant information associated to each intervention, accepting or rejecting ut downloading any additional information they may need.
Subsequently it will be filled on the mobile device, a report of the performed intervention, showing the status of the incident. In addition, they can check the amount of stocked goods in a given location.
Centralised Optimisation of Remote Maintenance:
SATEC has developed an application for entering the information associated with the data collected by the technicians in charge of maintaining the client¡s infrastructures. This information, which is stored in PDA devices, is then incorporated into the Configuration and Maintenance Control System.
The principal objective of the system is to record all of the activities carried out by the agents involved, planning and assigning the tasks to be performed for monitoring purposes, complete traceability and the optimisation of resources and efforts in order to improve service quality levels.
