Fleet Management

An application by SATEC for managing the interventions of highway assistance service provided by the fleet of technical assistance vehicles operated by an insurance company.

The vehicles are equiped with PDA type devices, with a GPS for geopositioning and a GPRS communication system. The applications developed and implemented in each device allow the technician to accept or reject the interventions as they are sent. Additional information can also be downloaded if necessary on the incident reported, the status of the incident, etc. In addition, the system maintains coordinated information on the status of each one of the technical assistance vehicles. Finally, and thanks to the use of GPS and the integration of this information in a GIS, the system can provide information on the vehicle's position, sending data on the best possible route to the scene of the emergency.
